Yeah that's my exact opinion.  The album fell apart quickly after the title track imo.

How is there still a discussion about whether or not Joanne is a good album? It's one of her best.

I share similar sentiments, it’s definitely my least favorite Gaga album and her worst imo, but I became a stan during that era. The music videos, performances, interviews, the leak searches, outfits, and the constant mess is what attracted me to Gaga at the time. Looking back it was such a fun era to experience and to this day I get so excited when we learn little tidbits/behind the scenes about that era. Like finding out Temple and Brooklyn Nights were going to be on the album

ARTPOP collectively is my least favorite album, but the good songs are GOOD.  Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the album.  I thought it was a moment, but as a whole it was kinda messy but in a good/bad way :legend:

Omg she showed her p*ssy during the G-A-Y show :selena:

She's so crazy :bradley: honestly I like ARTPOP, there are a few songs that I love (Venus, MANiCURE, Applause, Mary Jane Holland, Sexxx Dreams). It could be a lot better, yes, but it's not garbage.

All I ever wanted was love...

I remember that circulating. Me thinking it was real :ladyhaha:

I think ARTPOP got better with time (minus a couple songs)

It's my least favourite solo album too. I don't dislike it at all and it has a bunch of really good songs but it feels like a compilation of demos. The production sounds somewhat amateur in parts especially coming after the epic, hard-hitting Born This Way.

Like I was a stan since TFM, but when ARTPOP came along, things were so chaotic and disorganized.  But the fanbase itself was at its peak creativity that made the era push through, plus debuting seven new songs was f**king fantastic.  I'll never forget when I first heard the title track being performed.  I never want to have another era like that, but it was thrilling looking back.

The era was everything. besides the 2nd single mess she delivered an intense promo schedule, she gave us so many performances, looks & interviews. I'm happy I can say that I enjoyed every part of it because we end up never getting this entertaining roll out again for an album.

the scars on my mind are on replay.

Spot on.  We'll never have a thrilling era like that again but I never want to go back/ do it again.  Once was enough :laughga:

I coulda done it without the Venus -> DWUW switch-a-roo all together tho :awkney:

Despite all the backlash and hate she was receiving at that time she still delivered an enjoyable era for her fans, truly a queen. ARTPOP holds a special place in my heart for her passion & love for this era.

OP:

I like the album but it's her second worst album (and third worst if we include CTC and ASIB, but I don't as they aren't really her albums) out of the six she's released. It has some good songs but a lot of the productions aren't amazing or taken from Zedd's rejects (Donatella; It's Karma Bitch by Anjulie, Mary Jane Holland; Can't Break The Machine, etc). But it's still miles better than Chromatica so at least it has that :vegas:
