7. Skin - 8.77

Highest Score: 11 @HausOfAntonio @Pennywise @cmmonster

Lowest Score: 5 @Creyk @Towelney

COMMENTS:

@My Name Isnt Alice This if the firsr eerie song on the album then followed by a puch by NTRM to frozen

@whoresup Crazy production and vocals make this so interesting. Such a good one.

@HausOfAntonio Madonna’s best song OF ALL TIME, PERIODT!

@Lionel Ronaldo A bit mysterious for me, but very lovely music.

@MingersPrayer Another superb album track with experiemental elements of world sounds. I love this song and it’s power, body and playful wording. The sound to me has similar vibes to Impossible Princess ( one of my favourite Kylie records as a classic experiemental underrated album of 90s pop). This song brings reincarnation or past lives to my mind – the love she found has been experienced before. I love the interpolation between “connection” and “correction”. My favourite line is "Why do all the things I say - Sound like the stupid things I've said before?" I've defintiely felt like this. It evokes the idea of 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing' but also the feeling you get when first going into psychotherapy. A bit like ...an unexamined life is not worth living. It also came to mind the first tiem I heard the American Life record. If you imagine Madonna in her Erotica years – Skin would have been about fantasy and carnal pleasure. Now Skin has a theraputic dynamic, one of earth bound humanity and fallibility. Damn, that is growth.

@heygurlhi a grower

@DirrtyPony Such a euphoric experience. Such an intricate and flawless production. Easily in my top 3 from this album.

@Pennywise One of my favorite Madonna tracks ever actually. It has SUCH an interesting production and vocal style. It feels like it takes you on a trip.

@Ulisaax640 i love the indian vibes this brings.

@El Greco Do I know you from somewhere? A mysterious masterpiece.

@cmmonster I always thought that this album was so cohesive and looking back now, this song still stands out as really kicking the album forward into the techno ballady perfection that it was. Following it on with Nothing Really Matters and then the 4 FOLLOWING songs ending on Power of Goodbye is one of the best 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 punches on album rarely ever seen. BANGER.

@MessyTop Ray of light meets Erotica. Sexy and hot. Love the instrumentation

@Brad I love the drum loop

@Blown Away I love how the song sounds both earthy and totally out of this world. It's like I'm in a space ship that is taking off to the galaxy, I don't know how to describe it. The instrumental is great, but what really makes the song are the melody and Madonna's vocals.

What did I tell you?

Always be kind to others, you may need them once
