People compare you to Lady Gaga how do you feel about these comparisons ?
I think she's really talented. It's funny how people compare though just because I make pop music and I have blonde hair. it's interesting because they don't do that to guys they only do that to girls so it is unfortunate that they like to compare but hey Lady Gaga is a great comparison so I love it. I love her she's great.

Have you had the chance to meet her yet ?
No, oh my god that'd be crazy if i met her.

There's simply no denying her label pushed the Gaga formula with her release of "So Am I," her promotion of "Torn" and the video with Joseph Kahn and then collaboration with Redone. Any of the following three could be attributed to coincidence but as Ava herself has made well known, she is a Gaga fan so there is reason to believe these moves were all strategically done with some influence.

Oh i don't know why they compare myself to Lady Gaga, I make the same pop music like when she starred and wear her exact same hair color and style as she wore in 2008 but I don't know why they compare me to her, is it because i'm a woman?

Neither her music nor her hairstyle are comparable to Gaga in 2008-2012 though, besides the stuttering in Sweet But Psycho :poot:

They both wear crazy outfits, heavy make-up, futuristic blond wigs and they make pop music. But they both give it something different.

I'm sure Ava is inspired by Gaga (and many others). Just like how Gaga was inspired by Madonna (and many others). That's okay. It makes sense to learn from the artists who walked the same path before you. As long as it's done sparingly and with genuine creative passion, imitation can be a great way to gradually shape your own identity.

And I think Ava is doing that just fine. She's taking some stuff from people who came before her (as every artist does) and is creating her own story with it.

You guys can stop dragging her now, she praised Gaga, even though Ava Max never deserved to get dragged in the first place :interestinga:

She does look like Gaga a bit but maybe she's inspired by her. Stop harassing this poor woman, she seems like a sweetheart, don't break her with countless cruel comments to her social media or on forums etc, she reads it as any celebs do, and it does kills their spirit a bit. I think her music is very very different from Gaga's, when I listen to her songs  I don't think 'oh wow that's so Gaga' at all. So stop it, jesus christ

YESSSSS :tony: This Gaga fan is proud to also be a fan of hers.

The other day I noticed how much more meaningful the lyric "Torn in between Heaven & Hell" is, now that we know more about her album. Come through concept queen :golfclap: I'm so unbelievably hyped

That's exactly what I was thinking in the toilets a few hours ago. People compare them just because they make pop music as blondes. If Ava looked different, there would be no comparisons from the media

She “thinks” Lady Gaga is talented? Honey, the whole world knows Lady Gaga is talented. I’m not shading her, I just find this answer very scripted. She knew how to deflect the question and make it about sexism in the industry rather than actually discuss Gaga’s artistry and her influence on her.
