I don't know, but like a good percentage of her tweets, I'm choosing to ignore it She always seems to be fighting with her label and I know she said that she argued with them over Matangi because they said it was "too positive." She also did a Crowdcast recently saying something along the lines of not wanting to make chaotic music because there was too much chaos in the world already. I thought she was already out from her label, that’s why she decided to release content on her Patreon... or so I thought She definitely said at one point she was still putting out an album on a normal label, but yeah who knows “I’m doing a Patreon, because I make so much stuff and record so many things that aren’t music and don’t fit on other platforms,” M.I.A. explained. “I’m still making music, putting out the 6th album which is nearly finished, on a normal label, same as the others.” I forget where she said it, but I just checked again and a few magazines used that quote.
