I think that note was prerecorded (like, before they filmed the actual performance, so Ari was supposed to lipsync it when filming) but I think she forgot about it for a second

I have actually defended this performance outside this site when people tried to disregard her .  Whats wrong with having an open conversation with fellow fans about the qualms we had .

I actually found nothing worng with the dancing . I just feel like 911 ,rain on me and stupid love all have heavy choreo from verse to chorus and its hard to balance that and singing at the same time ( it would require and insane amount of rehearsal to completely perfect it) . That should be richys job tho . To make dance routines that make gaga look as good as possible all while bearing in mind that she has to sing while doing it

An artiste is someone who perfects the art of singing and dancing and a performer is one who entertains an audience .

What i meant was that she is focusing more on the execution of vocals and choreo and the performance aspect(wow factor ) has taken a back seat in some of her recent shows . This thread is basically me saying i would prefare a balance of both . I mean ill take whatever is given but that should not stop me from airing out my concerns

The rehearsing thing is basically me saying :We all know she works her ass of but if you are going to be perfect in the singing and dancing all while you have a very limiting health condition that may be a little sticky  . I never complained of her dancing here tho. It was  very enjoyable for me to see her hitting those moves. my concern is production

Lol im always very critical off late and i seem to have enjoyed this one much more than her last performances

One thing tho. Since the superbowl, i feel like shes always running. Summing, i feel her still a monster on stage but most cases very insecure and afraid of it. 

I mostly liked it cause the rocky version of 911 and her falsetto were so on point. Id wish she went much deeper. And i feel this constantly nowadays.. Theres too much focus on the full choreo and we miss drama and meaning. Sometimes less movement, a curtain or some prop, just the dancers not being on the back and syncronised but telling the story, some actual effects. 

 

And then you dont even need to cut the whole performamce to go to this strange piano. I like her being extra, but shes done that too many timesalready. That part really didnt work for me

Was it her best performance ever? Probably not. Was it amazing? Hell yeah. Everyone else that night just performed in front of a green screen and called it a day, she's the only one who brought props, had a set design and even a freaking brain piano, not to mention the 2 costume changes. I swear, sometimes I feel like you guys are impossible to satisfy, I really don't know what to tell you.

My biggest problem with it was that there were many messy moments that could have easily been edited out or reshot. If you’re having a prerecorded performance, it should look flawless. The fact that they had a ZOOMED in shot of her talking to Ariana in the middle of the song was so unprofessional. Like who actually watched it and said, « yes, this is perfect to put on tv ». The ending for ROM after the brigade was also very messy and could have easily been edited or reshot. 

Also I agree with the fact that production has taken a HUGE backseat since recent years. She hasn’t seemed to be able to incorporate 2020 tech with her performances/videos. Still disappointed with how the SL video turned out when the concept photos looked so much better. I remember someone defended it saying that it’s harder to translate photos into videos which but all they had to do was easily change the colour of the sand and sky digitally and get better looking costumes and voila
