My explanation for "AM I E I E I Pa Pa Plastic!"

Featured Posts

Hey everyone! So I was looking through the Chromatica album booklet that comes with the physical copy that I got for my birthday! It's the Target Exclusive version :vegas:

And I took a look at the Plastic Doll lyrics, they read:

"Am I

Am I plastic?

Plastic Doll

Plastic Technologic"

And that REALLY intrigued me, since shouldn't it say "AM I E I E I" and stuff instead? :derpga:

Well this got me thinking, and the more I thought about it the more I pieced stuff together in my head that the normal person listening to this might not think of.

"AM I E I E I" is VERY robotic toy sounding, which would fit very well with the lyric "Technologic" and "I'm microchipped"

"Am I plastic?" Is obviously the question she's asking the common listener who may or may not think she's an actual human being, honestly very Ava Max style stuff.

And the reasoning she put "Technologic" at the end of the robot noises is BECAUSE it has everything to do with the technology put inside of toys and dolls as she even states that she's been "microchipped"

That's my explanation for the intro, a lot of people hate it, I personally don't love it but I don't really hate it, same goes with the actual song, leave your opinions down below :vegas:

I think it's just the sound a robotic doll that talks would make if it was broken, obviously going with the plastic doll theme

Written like that, could it be our new “Bad Kids booklet hidden verse”?

I never would’ve imagined that Gaga had a thing for “vers” :bradley:

Do people hate it? I actually think the intro/ outro is the best part of the song.

I think your theory is really good, on top of that Gaga has referenced plastic and technology several times before (I'm thinking that We Are Plastique unreleased).

When I first listened to it, it didn't get to me at all. But it did grew on me and it's one of my favorite now.
