A camera has been inserted into the rubble and it confirmed (according to local news agencies) the presence of a body and another person on a wheelchair from whom the heartbeats are coming most probably.

Sad update: many scans have been done in the afternoon. No heartbeats have been registered this time. I don't know what to say anymore.

Sorry to say, but I am skeptical to begin with. No adults can last a week without foods and, especially, water for a week, let alone a little kid.

How can someone stay alive for a month with no food or water ? That must be a mistake. It's pretty much impossible unless that person had tons of water and food next to him/her at the time of the explosion which seems crazy.

It's a misconception that you can't survive longer than a few days without food and water. You can survive much longer than you'd think, especially if you're not exerting energy

OT: This was really sad to read and such an incredible shame no one was able to save this persons life.

Are you 100% sure about that? Nothing is guaranteed here. It was just said "possibly", and that most likely a BIG if. Human and machinery errors happen all the time as well.

Besides, the last update said there are no heartbeats detected after many scans.

I'm not trying to come up with an explanation or anything but just wanted to let you guys know that 3 years ago we had a very bad earthquake here in Mexico (September 19th 2017) and apparently some girl called "Frida Sofia" got stuck underneath a building. This generated so much buzz and the news covered this story for like a whole week. Then ended up being just a hoax. Sometimes they say that tragedy makes people come up with miracles as a way to deal with so much trauma and have a reason to be positive.

This same thing happened with another earthquake in 1985, same day and place actually (September 19th in Mexico City), a kid was supposed to be under a pile of rocks and ended up being false. Some people say it was the government trying to cover up stuff so I don't know.

Hmm just been doing some reading, think I got mixed up with lasting longer without just food, without food people can go + a month apparently but without water it is a matter of days. Sorry I was confused

Very strange and sad situation nonetheless.
