Child possibly alive under rubble a month after Beirut explosion

The Chilean search and rescue team has detected a heartbeat (very faint, 18 heartbeats per minute) under a destroyed building a MONTH after the explosion that destroyed a big part of Beirut. The detection was first made by a dog on the Chilean team, then through detection machines. It has been revealed that there is also another larger body (with no signs of life) next to the child whose heartbeats were detected.

Now, the Lebanese Army (who has done nothing but terrorize people and sit on the side while they clean the streets and clear the rubble) has suspended the search for the child until they can get a crane tomorrow morning at 8AM (in 8 hours from now that is). Instead of doing all they can to get a crane and all the necessary teams, they're choosing to stop for the night. This is literal insanity at this point. The same government that didn't bother searching thoroughly and fast for any possible victim, whether dead or alive, is choosing to kill yet another child.

Protesters are trying to get a crane on their own and the Chilean team has said that they're ready to continue the search now

Id go and find him myself, horrible management. You cant let a child in there it's insane!!!!!!!!!

Some protesters were trying to do that but honestly it's a danger for everyone, including the child. The structure could fall apart with any wrong movement. Let's hope they manage to get a crane very soon and not wait until the useless government decides to get one tomorrow.

Trust me none of the people here have recovered from the shock. It all feels like it happened yesterday.

This government needs to hurry the **** up, if they have a HEART. Jesus christ, how can u just say "hm tomorrow we'll see what we can do". 29 days is a long time, running out of time not sure how the child could even survive without food and water but it's a miracle it's so urgent

It's amazing that somebody survived for this long. I can't imagine how terrified they must be feeling to have been trapped under there for so long. I hope he is able to recover from this and doesn't have any lasting trauma.

I wonder how accurate that is. Obviously, they should try a rescue as soon as possible, but I wonder if they are skeptic too. I mean, 29 days without water is hard to believe.
