Britney signs petition to request father is removed as Conservator

This is the first time she's been able to sign anything in relation to her conservatorship in 12 years :bradley:

Britney Spears' court-appointed attorney Samuel Ingham has filed a new petition to the court requesting Bessemer Trust Company of California, a corporate fiduciary, to replace her father as conservator of her estate. They also manage Apple, Amazon and Microsoft - so it seems like she'd be in MUCH better hands.

It also states should Jamie be removed, Britney may want to resume her career, if she wanted to and if her Conservator (Jodi) approves she could do so. This is probably in all of the previous agreements so I wouldn't get too excited about that.

"This is a voluntary conservatorship" therefore she is exercising her right to nominate a conservator of her choice.

The document also states Britney will be attending the next hearing - probably virtually. I believe there is another one on September 16th 2020.

Hopefully the Judge will grant this :bradley:

She'd better be freed -- it's just the right thing to do. Because if this request gets denied (after all the media coverage), some ugly stuff is going on behind the scenes. Release her from this hell!

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

Fingers crossed! Now we all know her dad will do everything to remain as the conservator to keep Britney as his cash cow so we need to keep our hopes low sadly :grr:

I have good hopes for this! The judge is known for usually granting the conservative's wishes if it's coming from a court appointed attorney and Britney's lawyer is court appointed. He used to be on Team C-ship, but I think lately he is shitting himself with all the media coverage and is now finally having Britney's best interest at heart... after 12 years.

Britney also filed for:

- To terminate NDA's
- To file for restraining orders (Lucifer & Jamie she is coming for you)
- Resume her career, hire agents, production companies, tours etc.

And this all without giving up her right to file for the C-ship termination in the future!

Ugh I can't wait for her to be free, she deserves it! #FreeBritney

Wow. For her to be okay with terminating NDA's, there must be some serious crap going on considering most celebs would never want to risk their personal lives being public.

My main concern is her desire to resume her career. Weren't we all speculating that her father was forcing her to release albums and tour when she wasn't mentally fit?

Fans never thought she was mentally unwell, our argument was if her father claims she's unwell and deemed as disabled (as she is by law) how/why did he make her release albums/go on tours.

In relation to the clause about performing again, I think that's just a general clause that's in there and was probably the terms in all conservatorship agreements with her previous conservators. Her son even said she might retire a few months ago, so I think this clause is just there incase she ever decides to return. I hope she will return one day if she wants to, she did used to say that she gets bored of doing nothing and would always have to 'come back'.

We'll see what happens :bradley:

But it looks like they are taking steps in the right direction in eventually terminating the conservatorship, all these things have to be done before she requests for termination - it'll be much easier for her to get out of it if her dad is completely out of the picture and no longer a conservator.
