It's sad but music industry doesn't make the money it used to so artists have to build an empire of other products to make other forms of income. Fragrances, fashion, headphones, etc...especially with touring being an artists main profit margin during a pandemic is frustrating

i do feel that her line is relatively cheaper for a celeb sephora line so i'm thinking it may do better... 

her demographic is mostly young and and a lot of her international fans are of low/middle socioeconomic class so in that case i don't believe they would be able to splurge on say a $30 lipstick. i was also reading a reddit post about how her family was quite poor before she got the acting gig on barney/wizards so i think that had to do with the affordability of her line

ik i was lowkey shady in my first comment at the top but selena's such a down to earth person and i'm hoping for the best with this line !!
