Lorde Von Kok 4
Ā Hey ladies Ā After predicting the nearly-sweepĀ of Gaga for the VMAs and the now-replacedĀ Vanguard Award, I have another question concerning the VMAs for y'all hoes that did indeed watched the ceremony. This year's ceremony was like nothing before, showcasing pre-recordedĀ and sometimes live performances from The Weeknd, Doja Cat, Lady Gaga and Ariana, DaBaby, CNCO, Maluma and BTS heavily relying on virtual graphics. Without an audience, live reactions cams and an actual read carpet, the ceremony was the first of it's kind. - Did you liked this pre-recorded-studio version of the VMAsĀ ? If so, why ?Ā Ā - If you didn't, why ? Ā Ā Ā In my personal opinion, I suprisingly Ā LOVEDĀ Ā this version of the VMAs. I wouldn't be surprise if they do it again, even thought it got messy on Twitter with leaks. I loved how this allowed artists to truly perform with their vision, allowing them, with special effects, to realize any fantasies they have that maybe a real show inside an arena couldn't do or prepare in a short amount of time. I do miss the live reaction from an audience and the red carpet, but that could easily replaced in the future.Ā Who knows, maybe this will mark the first-time we start having virtual ceremony awards shows as the normĀ and it will continue from now on to be like that. What is done in the dark shall one day come to light.

rasclautmangos 2,746
I liked GagasĀ and Doja Cat'sĀ performances. I also thought Keke was good as a host. I could have done without the rest of it to be honest. The set up was weird as hell.Ā It felt like an awards show on The Hunger Games or something lol

thatfoxyfeeling 13,017
I really enjoyed the VMAs considering they could have just cancelled it this year. I thought they did a fantastic job putting it all together, the performances were really well done and I lived for the futuristic vibes. The fake audience cheers/applause were a bit cringe but it wasĀ definitely the best VMAs in years! Ā

elijahfan 26,203
I think they did a fairly good job in the current context. The performances were a bit too green-screen heavy, so I appreciate Gaga is one of the rare ones who actually relied on practical props and set elements. Of course nothing can replace a live audience, but quite frankly, these were the best VMAs in years in spite of thatĀ Ā I mean, I don't believe there's any LMs in their right mind who would say otherwise, thisĀ was literally the GagaMAs
