I'm so glad she performed 911. Queen.

However, she should have performed Alice instead of Stupid Bomb.

I’ve watched it so many times trying to figure it out haha. I think it starts with Ariana doing the lower part and then they switch high and low parts and Ari goes into the whistle. Their voices blend really well though so who knows

I don’t think we’ve ever heard gaga do whistle notes before though? If she could reach that register it seems odd that she wouldn’t have done it years ago

yeah... Ari finishes her part.  Gaga starts "Rain ... On... Me..." while Ari hits the whistles.  Its pretty clear once you notice that Gaga also does a separated final "eeeee" in her head voice.  I was confused at first because Ari and Gaga can sound a lot a like but after a few listens it seems pretty clear.

It's all well styled and cute. But I miss the Gaga who went for the jugular with "Paparazzi" and "You and I." I want the artist back. I want to be surprised. Also, her speeches have been vanilla pleasantries. Nothing honest or with sincere words for our times. I love her, but she's not the Gaga who hanged herself and said "This is for God and for the gays."

For me, Opening with the pole dance to the orchestral Chromatica II, as well as the Piano intro to Stupid Love gave it the extra oomph and theatrical element that paparazzi had too.

Of course, in a different way. Because the message of Chromatica is much more happy than paparazzi. A lot of what was shocking about Paparazzi was how dark she got with it. Though I suppose that would’ve fit for 911 but still, I think she’s on the “make the world happy with music” train right now.

I can’t believe Stupid Love, one of my least favorite songs from the album, was my favorite performance. Damn does that song translate well to a live performance. She ate that up

I LOVED the way she gave us an acoustic piano performance of Stupid Love. The way she turns a pop song into an emotional piano song is a big part of what made me become a fan back in 2009.

This was my favorite part. I’ve been daydreaming of a piano version of SL for months. :messga:

She's not going to make a dark performance in the middle of a pandemic where everything is already depressing.

Original Diva

Am I the only one who loved 911? Like sure it does sound a little strange vocally when performed live, but I thought she did an amazing job! That prechorus was amazing!

excuse me no
