dzox 552 Posted August 30, 2020 Share Posted August 30, 2020 so witness wasnt her ARTPOP era, instead it was her Bionic era, and Smile is her Lotus. its really sad to see her declining this bad. as much as i love the album (its a good cohesive album honestly), she didnt serve anything new from this album. most of the songs sounds like it was made for Prism. if the album came out last year when Never really over came out the album would do slightly better than this cuz NRO was a moderate hit (could've been bigger if its actually being promoted with performances). Felt a closer connection to it than anything else released this year which is wild cause I’m not an avid Katy listener or fan. this album deserves more. I don't love the album, though. I think she doesn't care that much though because she just had her baby and that's more important than her music and career now IMO. She can always continue to do music and still tour with all the massive hits that she has had over the years. I think her time on radio is long over, however.
