Sherry 4,715
So, as we all know ASIB was Gaga's repeak and established her footings in the streaming era, I've seen so much difference. The way people talk about Gaga now compared to back then. My family never really listened to Gaga's music (they're straight ) and the only song they'd listen to was either Applause or Million Resurrections. But after ASIB became huge, they've started listening to Gaga and I even caught my mom bopping to Sour Candy while doing the dishes. Chromatica is my sister's second favorite album of 2020 falling right below The Weekend's album. Truly Gaga has achieved that legendary status. Our little Stefani has come a long way. Love it when you call me legs, in the morning buy me eggs 🥚
Twitter 14
I will always respect ASIB era not just because of Gaga repeaking, it allowed many fans, GP, and haters to finally recognize her talents and artistry. It also defines how she is a true gem to the music industry.
Guest
We should thanks to Bradley and Tony. Thanks to them Gaga is something more than a POP Star. And her music is better and better
The Clown 539
I feel like people respect her much more after ASIB. The general consensus seems to be that she has proved herself as a multitalented artist and even a modern day icon, to some. During ARTPOP and Joanne, she might have had her moments (Oscars, Super Bowl), but she was kind of a one-woman punchline if we're being honest. Heck, even during her peak With TF/TFM/BTW, people only thought she was a talentess, satanic b*tch who has to rely on gimmicks to sell her fast food-like music. Kind of sad if you think about it, that she worked so hard on her pop records, but it'll always be overshadowed by BalladGa when it comes to critical acclaim. Not that BalladGa doesn't deserve praise, but POP MUSIC (should) NEVER BE LOW BROW!!!
paradox 4,568
I think every project she's done outside the typical Pop sphere has increased the GP's respect towards her and has increased her fanbase. Keep showing the world your talent, kween!

Miel 15,009
One of the most powerful things about the ASIB era is that it really got people to look at Gaga's music (and a lot of pop music from a decade ago, in general) with a sort of retroactive respect. And deservedly so! 3 points in and ready for more

Nevertheless, I am still in distress over how they treated Ally's foray into pop. Me too. I think Gaga mentioned that the narrative intention was indeed to establish Ally's entrance into electronic/dance pop as her own version of authenticity, and it was essentially the main source of conflict in the final act (for a bit), as it doesn't align with Jackson's classical brand of "authenticity". Unfortunately, the movie's narrative is so Jackson-centric towards the end, that this kind of gets swept under the rug. It's, like, my one primary criticism of the movie, which is otherwise stunning. In fact, a lot of my friends and family who watched the film (not Gaga fans) really felt like there should have been more emphasis on Ally's own arc, especially towards the end of the film. I think it's also a testament to how powerful Gaga portrayed and characterized Ally. 3 points in and ready for more

Yeah, it demonstrates her as a serious artist contributing to the industry...many viewed her as a cheap pop singer producing raunchy music videos to get fans. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. SevenWonder 4,256
Any album that sells over 9 million WW SPS has a huge impact - especially these days. But the fact it was bigger with the GP than monsters? This late in her career? Crazy.
