Because these people got dozens of followers who may or may not know other artists works, and they are also generally like to flaunt. So their followers will certainly know. And as for designer products, these people have more various range of fans. That is what they are after, exposure. They wanna reach new audience.

Giving these PR stuffs to fans is not very sensible cos they are already know their faves will release something new and will support it anyway. Besides, there are only so much of super fans with millions of followers. They certainly not gonna send these to random fans with 15-100 followers
