I have my first class next Tuesday and I'm afraid of it. :bear: First of all, I had a pretty serious health issues this August and my body still needs to recover, so I doubt Covid-19 would be good for me now. And of course, my parents — I don't want them to be infected because of me.

Sorry I got a bit too passionate! Didn’t mean to single out EVERY young person and of course there are ppl like yourself who are younger and still have health conditions that are high risk! It’s more from my own personal experiences in my area. Like it’s crazy how many massive groups of young ppl are about acting like we still aren’t in a global pandemic. Apologies again if I offended you! And dw as long as u take the right precautions you will be fine :)

Get that fire exit door, I’m off...

Well if maybe most teens had stayed home or worn masks and not gone to the beaches, this wouldn't have happened. :awkney:

It just shows that people would rather want to have some sort stimulation than protect others. Also surely many just want to have the excuse to leave their house and have their own apartment and whatnot and this is their chance, I'm certain not all want universities to open for their 'education.' :mark:

The younger generation generally SUCK! Such a bunch of selfish bimbos... Not all of them of course, but whenever I’ve been out for a walk or ventured out, there’s always mass groups of them. Why can’t they get into their thick skulls that it’s not about THEM for once in they’re life. It’s about our parents and our grandparents who’d do all they could to protect us if the shoe was on the other foot. UGH, sorry for the rant, just had to vent lol!

Yea. The younger generation is so selfish and yet they are the ones who will take the negative effects of all these measures for a virus that doesnt affect 99,99% of them.

Doesn't surprise me.

I'd imagine with winter there will be less infections overall but potentially more issues with elderly people.

The simple measure of keeping universities closed (at least some that don't require lab or face-to-face work and at least for half a year) would help so much. People are selfish for waiting them open at all cost.

I don't know how is it in the rest of Europe but where I live looks like they will indeed open and most surveys show people voting for that & that inherentely puts me at risk. It annoys me so much.

We have all kinds of savety messures to keep it save so were good here in the netherlands

Given that all the people ages 18-25 are out partying at people’s houses, that doesn’t surprise me

If you are talking about Romania then the problem is the mentality from here and also the lack of knowledge that people has with this virus. They either think that the virus is made up or if they believe in it, they don't think they die because of the virus but because people were already sick

I'm glad to hear it. Were I live I don't know how much the measures could work. Buses and trains are pretty tiny packed and I'll have to use them .. it really makes me feel anxious. :ohno: If they do open I hope we will still have the option to stay home.

Yeah but that happens to different extents in every country. Just look at the US, France. Being irresponsible isn't unique to a nation.

Why don’t you take online classes? Most colleges offer them even pre-Covid. Or are you in high school?
