Both used Egyptian imagery, both sing in higher falsettos and have similar auras in a way. It's most obvious in FKA twigs' video for Two Weeks: I don't know much about Aaliyah as they don't talk much about her in Europe where I live but I can recognize her impact based on this. She was on the verge of becoming a huge superstar, I always thought she would've been bigger than Beyoncé had she lived.
