I feel like this constantly happens with any of her songs that have flaws. Fans try to fabricate some justification for it because they like the song.

Same thing happened with Fun Tonight, where it just randomly goes from a bridge to a second verse, instead of the chorus.

Unless she herself comes out and says it to be a fact, the chorus imo is weak.

Fun Tonight use to be another least favorite of mines, but it’s now in my top 5 on Chromatica. Somehow I can emotionally connect to Fun Tonight’s sadness more than 911.

I agree with @Doot the chrous is weak and shows a huge lack of energy. I also dislike the pill justifcation too

Yep. This has been one of my favorite songs on the album since day one, however, I've also found the chorus to be underwhelming as well since day one.

I feel like the versus and bridge are excellent, and while I like the lyrics in the chorus, it sounds like something you'd have near the end of the song, as a fade out or after the second chorus.

Honestly, I think the CII/911 transition is the most interesting part of the entire thing.

I like Fun Tonight, a lot, but the choice to suddenly go verse-build up-verse was a CHOICE, and an ineffective one at that.

It turns me off more than anything.

I think Fun Tonight would serve better as a ballad tbh.

I actually love the repetitive chorus. To me it's super catchy and almost hypnotic. I know a few people have called it "flat" but I feel like the song goes hard enough, and if she amped it up anymore for the chorus it would sound too chaotic and messy. I like how it sounds consistent all the way through, it makes me feel like I'm suspended in time if that makes any sense. 911 ftw :vegas:

Same. The transition and instrumental are the only things I enjoyed from the track. The first verse is alright but then the pre chorus, chorus, and bridge is a huge lackluster. The pill justification is kinda hypocritical to me too because she knows she has some fans who struggle with mental health and feel suicidal. Same way I feel about MJH, which is why I consider them song sisters. But ignore me, I don’t have taste. :flop:

I agree FT build up is a disappointment but for some reason, I find it to be more okay than 911. Maybe because sonically and lyrically I understood it’s not that uptempo pop track. Plus the verse lyrics is what keeps me focused.

Could you expand on this?

I honestly love it but I just don't see how it's so many people's favorite song.

The emotional pull this song has over all the other songs on the album is the reason why I love it so much and favor it :vegas:

FunTonight

911 is a BOP with relatable themes and a production that literally matches the meaning of the song. Imagine being so basic you can't hear it for yourself LMAO

REALITY

It's interesting that a lot of people here dislike the chorus. The chorus is actually my favorite part of the song. I'm not a huge fan of the verses, especially the second verse. Lyrically, the song's a masterpiece, and while 911 has grown on me, I still think it's overrated.

Which part? :laughga:

All of it. Why is it bad in relation to her fans as well as MJH?
