Donald Trump Jr. tweets about stars attending VMAs skipping out quarantine

The entertainment industry has been eating dust for the past 5 months: making the VMAs possible is incredibly important for both technicians and artists. As long as the people involved wear masks, self-distance and quarantine when not working, I absolutely don't see the problem in allowing those people to do their job.

Also, the fact the Trumps should be the ones lecturing people about Covid rules... I mean, the audacity....  Also, priorities are certainly different when you're born rich and putting food on your table isn't an issue.

This s*** sounds fake and serves only to distract people per usual. Gaga has been adamant about taking precautions with the pandemic. I doubt she’d contradict herself, and plus wasn’t it confirmed the VMAs were going virtual weeks ago? Pretty sure them having it at the Barclays Center got shut down.

I’d imagine they’re still doing it in LA. All the dancers are still in LA and according to Insta they started rehearsing yesterday. I think they all got tested pre quarantine and got results back which allowed them to leave quarantine and rehearse and then return to the hotel. If it’s being taken that seriously, I doubt they’d put them all on a plane to schlep them to nyc when they could be quarantined there not cali.

So this is what the article says from the New York post:

But the state Department of Health has granted the VMAs a semi-exemption to the quarantine rule.

They can “participate in the production of the show,” a spokeswoman for Cuomo said, “but they will only interact with other members of the cast and crew and will quarantine when not working.”

To receive the exemption, the VMAs agreed to police itself with “rigorous safety protocols including testing and screening and compliance checks by a special compliance officer.”

See my concern is...I believe NY still has an active list of states where if you come from either of them they are strongly and like strongly encouraging the 14 day quarantine. I doubt that she’d fly off to NY, same with Miss Ariana, and not do the quarantine. She would have been there by now unless her recent videos were from weeks ago and she’s just now posting them and she’s been in NY the entire time. Either way, Trump Jr is clearly just looking to get people talking about someone else that isn’t his dad. How pressed they are; maybe go work on containing the pandemic and leave Gagz and Ari alone

I don't think that it is certain that the celebs will all be performing or attending at an actual combined place, I was guessing that they wouldn't be. I guess we shall see what happens the day of. I imagined that it would be more of a virtual show. Maybe Trump knows something that we don't yet?
