Ok wait... why does her nose look like this?2493-A00-A-2706-4640-8-C21-68-FEBEC05966

So you're defending her but also making fun her because of her nose? Very logical approach you have.

Not so much making fun of her as I am questioning why they choose so many low shots of her in the vid making her nose look like that. It’s about angles luv

So this girl is def making herself trying to look as a mixed person and she is not. She is white. Those are her parents.

Every single white celebrities today is using a self tan as looking white is not the trend. We know that

i would love to hear an opinion on this from a black/poc user, and if you are yourself i am sorry in advance. i just see so many white people making judgements when the judgement should come from them...

As a poc im not surprised, white girls use self tan to have an olive skin complexion. They even pick foundations and say "this is perfect for my olive skin tone" they are so delusional about what their skin really is, which is more of a pink/pale side which is still beautiful but now seen as ugly, which is pretty ironic considering everyone told me my skin looked like curry sauce and was too yellow and 'greenish' and 'ugly', I just laugh now. They also are so convinced that their hair is frizzy, curly and thick, Ive seen that from youtubers and whatnot, so yeah when you're caucasian and u are obsessed with self-tan, and curl ur hair and try to make it look frizzy and super curly, yeah it's pretty damn weird. Just like if an european who was obsessed with Korean beauty standards, would use makeup to make their eyes look more 'Korean', use a very white/pale foundation, is convinced they have silky smooth straight hair and get them done religiously at the hairdresser to get it straight for months, and then shaves their eyebrows to make them straight. I'd find it pretty weird, it's like u try to be someone you're not, and I understand being inspired by different cultures but changing yourself to be someone you're not is so damn weird but anyways

Funny how you all got triggered when half mexican Selena Gomez got a "tan" and she was accused of blackfishing

I'm sorry but not everyone wants to look black, I don't know where this obsession comes from. And while many celebrities like Kardashians and other people do tend to wanna steal from the black community, I don't see how u can look at Selena Gomez and think omg, she wanna be black. There are many different cultures in this world than african-americans one, she's not only half-mexican but her skin can look North African from alll we know, it could look like Italian skin, or from an island somewhere, it's tiring that anything darker than white skin is "blackfishing".

im so sorry to hear about you getting bullied for your complexion! :kara: that’s definitely one of the nastiest things i’ve heard personally. i just don’t get why people can’t be nice or mind their own damn business. not only that, having a mindset like that is super toxic...i don’t understand people this racist actually function in our society that is constantly evolving, maturing and growing! (slowly, but surely ofc)

just remember, skin colour is irrelevant to being a human being. every skin tone in my opinion is beautiful. there’s no “better” skin tone, just like there’s no “better” song on chromatica:sis: all pieces of art!

That is so true and thank you ur so sweet!  That is why i hate seeing caucasians looking at their white skin and saying "ewww im so pale and pasty". Porcelain is very beautiful but again I dont find anything wrong with wanting a tan but saying 'ew' is so weird to me...

I agree with you but I don´t know if you can recall earlier this year when the photos for Interview magazine came out a lot of people were upset and calling Selena Gomez this and that because of her darker skin. And funnily most people on GGD (the ones on this thread) seem to be ok with a white girl (Madison) doing something similar and they excuse her by saying is just a tan and when Selena Gomez did she was appropriating and trying to look black and this that. And the issue is not about trying to look black but rather a POC to give themselves an exotic look (like a ton of people melanated people are described by non POC)

I agree with this. A ton of users here were calling her out for supposedly appropriating black culture, etc. yet a white girl does it and it seems that all gets fixed by simply saying she has a tan.

Sounds like double faced but to each its own.

How in that video was Madison Beer appropriating black culture though? The initial comment was on her tanned skin.
