Well if we have in mind that every artist is performing from different locations and the performances are probably pre-recorded which means they don't have to stop the show after every performance to change the stage, and also the fact that there isn't an actual venue where the Awards will be held at, which means there won't be any presenters for each award leaves a lot of time free. In the past, I think it has required logging in with your TV provider's info and the free streams were just red carpet / behind the scenes, but not the actual show.
