Where is LG7

Promo before was full force and absolutely almost non stop

that we actually didnt need any countdowns, random threads and countless insiders for the whole era guessing when it will start promoting....

unlike what's going on lately :ally:

the pandemic's the only thing getting in the way tho

As a fan from the beginning, there was something happening everyday for a good 5 years straight before her injury, even before she had a huge fan base. A lot of people mention Born This Way, I guess because that’s when most people came onboard (due to her being everywhere), but it was a whirlwind from the very start.

Keeping up with everything caused me to develop severe insomnia, which I still haven’t recovered from entirely. Although I do get a bit more sleep these days 😅

During Born This Way she would sometimes have like 3 costume changes everyday. A lot of people at school would talk about her, one of my teachers even watched her perform Hair on a piano. Everyone talked about Judas in class when it came out, everyone also wanted to see my Born This Way album booklet (including the teacher) when it came out.

Born This Way was even being sold at airports, Gaga was a promo machine! She said she hadn’t slept for 3 days when she was finishing up the album. And all this while she was still on the Monster Ball tour.

I hope she'll do that kind of promo in the future, I would love that

In Gaga's defence, things were done very differently than how they are today.

It wasn't really a streaming era we lived in, a live performance and a physical visitation to a country could do wonders to the chart performance of your songs and albums. This isn't the case anymore. There is a very unique algorithm and system that the artists have to adapt to in order to chart well. This is why someone who promotes as much as Katy Perry still can't beat the artists who barely move a finger, aka The Weeknd, Gaga, Drake, etc. because they've become streaming artists. They make deals with streaming platforms, promote through social media, engineer the sound and length of their songs, to the end of surviving in a digital era.

Live performances and interviews are great bonuses, but their value has diminished in comparison to before. Rain On Me hit #1 without one single live performance or interview, this couldn't have happened before.

That's why I hate streaming era.

Things were so different in 2011 to now, way back then everything depended on sales/YT views. It doesn’t matter how much promo you do, it depends on your fans/streaming power.

I'd rather have no Gaga on the charts then no promo or performances :triggered:
