mr.peter 3,551
I feel like this song is similar to Hair ... you either love that song or hate it. it blows my mind that so many fans hate some of my favorites. It’s like we all Stan different versions of Gaga sometimes
zino 173
I don't know if it's just me, but this song sounds ridiculously similar to Robot by Miley Cyrus. I mean, thematically, melodically, even the lyrics are literally the same "i'm not your robot" - "I'm not your plastic doll"
LibraLove 1,268
Top of the album. It’s such a banger. It brought me to tears when I first listened to it out of both joy and pain. Been my favorite since launch.
BlondeQueenOfGGD 25,454
Imo it’s the most heartbreaking song on Chromatica, when she says “meee” I can feel the pain in her voice.
Massive Monster 4,998
I was and still am surprised that some fans don't like it/seem to misunderstand it Some calling it "cringe" Do you get the song ?? Literally about the music industry, relationships, control and objectifying, with the Barbie theme as a metaphor to these things. And the production/way she sings is reflecting all that. You could even link this song to... FreeBritney. It is scary but fascinating. It was my Top 1 for awhile and I can see it reclaiming the spot. Kind regards
Bradley 58,728
I'm surprised by how long it took you guys. It was an instant banger for me. The vocals were clearly some of her best and the production is lit. The bridge >>>>>>

Which is why so many fans are triggered. Hide contents The toxicity kills all sense of taste. I feel like it's an FU to men in general, including gay men. Remember, she knows what it's like to have a toxic gay friend, who was obessed with everything on her outside, shoes, clothes and hair, but never really cared about her as a person. But I do see some resemblance in the song you posted. However out of the three I think Plastic Doll has the best metaphors. The other two are too literal. Doot 2
Maybe the reason some fans dislike it, is for the same reason they dislike Fun Tonight: they know it's about the fans.
DSK 611
I think it’s one of the catchiest songs in the album. I wasn’t a big fan of it at the beginning (it was actually my least favorite of the album), but you can’t help singing along or repeating the chorus in your head after you listen a couple of times. And then it grows :)
Glamourpuss 29,062
I'm happy to see it. It's one of the best on the album and has become one of my favourites in her whole discography. I can't wait to see her perform it live at The Chromatica Ball.
