I think people will just have to accept it, and move on. I'm not saying it's like the flu but 99% get over it just fine. When a vaccine's out, hopefully it'll get better

There's growing evidence that this virus has adverse long-term impacts on vital organs (including the lungs and heart). I know of someone who has permanent damage to their lungs because of COVID-19.

No, we don't. And it is not fine. At all. Please stop that harmful narrative. Flu won't cause permanent damage in your body. Covid-19 did.

Same. I have a friend who had no comorbidities and was considered fairly low-risk in terms of developing complications from the virus. She now has permanent lung damage and has to use an inhaler, and months later she still breaks out into random fevers and wakes up coughing a dry, rattling cough. Sure, she's a survivor, but her health is permanently damaged. Meanwhile, her husband who's older than her, and her two young daughters, all of whom also contracted covid, seem to have fully recovered with no longer damage, though of course, time will tell. 

Wear a mask, socially distance, and stay home when you can. (Obviously, some people have to work in person, some people need to attend school in person, people need to go out for essential goods, etc. but we can minimize going out and take appropriate precautions.)
