JRCF29 8,230
Texas Tech’s athletic department announced on Thursday that they had fired women’s basketball coach Marlene Stollings, following the release of documents detailing reports of harassment, bullying, and abuse by her and her staff. Players complained about a strength coach who made sexually suggestive remarks- and has since resigned, and a heart-monitoring system requiring players to function at 90% capacity during games- which one doctor said was unreasonable for the average athlete. No further details have been revealed, and the strength coach has denied misconduct through a legal team. Stolling was only hired two seasons ago, but 7 players she recruited left the program in that time. The athletic department was expected to further address the firing later in the day Friday. https://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/texas-tech-womens-coach-fired-day-report-abuse-72229867 Don't Call Me Gaga
