Gurl, trap music isn't really dominating anymore in 2020.

You can do pop and still sound fresh. Dua Lipa definitely got pop better than Gaga this time.

Also, you meant "subjective" right? :ohwell:

Potato/tomato. :huntyga:

See that's where we disagree because Future Nostalgia had ONE good song: Physical.

The rest was just :awkney: imo.

But different strokes for different folks. :flower:

I guess I’m not hearing the same things. The whole album sounds very current and fresh to me. It seems a little dismissive/condescending to “remind” people who like the album that you personally think Gaga can do better. I mean...okay? :triggered:

I mean, maybe you haven't been listening to what the other pop girls are releasing lately. I just feel that Gaga played it safe and didn't really evolve with this album. Dua Lipa on the other hand stepped it up.

It's a matter of taste but i feel like Dua Lipa at least didn't sound dated at all.

I mean, it doesn’t matter what else I’ve been listening to. Not everyone has to constantly compare pop gurlz to one another like it’s a competition. I like the album for what it is.

The judgment is jumping out. :awkney:

i don't remember ARTPOP

Cookie Tookie

Once I heard there was going to be 90s dance influence, I already knew I was going to love it.

I just mean that while other gurls brought new stuff to the table, she played it safe and didn't really do the thing she usually does where she creates trends but rather followed them this time.

And i'm glad you like it. Tho i can't help but wonder if people noticed that the beats just aren't hitting as hard as the other albums, that's all. I honestly play it everyday as a background album and only bop to few songs.

I’m sure some people notice that and respond similarly. That’s okay. I play it often as well and haven’t grown tired. If anything I’m still finding new elements to enjoy. The production I really enjoy. This album should really be played LOUD and on a good sound system. It hits very hard, in my opinion. Like, this is the most resonant album from Gaga for me since TFM. But I hear what you’re saying.

Yup, in fact it's the best song on the album and also the most unique :ohwell:

Well, as much as I love the album as a whole, I kinda agree with you :laughga: It's definitely the song that fits most my personal tastes.

How did she follow a trend if she didn't do what's trendy?

I do wish the album was a tad bit more experimental, so I have to agree... But on the other hand, I didn't necessarily want her to go the full Charli XCX route, because it wouldn't have felt innovative either. So in the end, I'm pretty happy with the direction she took.
