At this point, it seems intentional. So let's think this through and play Sherlock for a second: Billboard loooooooves Gaga, we all know it. Billboard has phones (duh). Lady gaga and her entire team have phones (duh). At some point they would have clarified with gaga and her team, right? Lets be clear. Gaga and billboard are on GREAT terms. And Gaga herself has tap danced around it previously, on drag race and whatnot. Maybe it is true that she no longer self identifies as bisexual. FOR ME, I'm a HUGE gay, but I've had sex with women. I dont want to anymore, would not, and I don't self identify as such. But that doesnt change the fact that I did previously and enjoyed it. Dated women for years. It doesnt mean I MUST identify as bi now. I would be offended if people online screamed I MUST identify as bi because I dated and slept with women in high school. So, I do think people need to stop with this bi-erasure narrative because it COULD be that it's not respecting her truth right now. Maybe we should read the tea leave and stop trying to force her to identify as something she doesnt want to. However, NOTHING changes the fact that she is one of the most vocal LGBT allies today. Gaga is smart and would never say ANYTHING that could be construed as "you can change orientations". So maybe we can all just respect where she is now and LOVE her for being that neverending ally. 💗💗💗 PS. Bi-erasure is real. Its insidious. Its gross. It needs to be dealt with in our entire community and society at large. I'm just not sure this is it, given the circumstances: see above. This narrative is soo f**king tired for real. No one is forcing a label on her. This is the label she herself has identified with since the beginning of her career. Her attraction to women is not up for discussion. Have you paid any attention to her shows? Her music videos? Her music? Just because Billboard "likes" Gaga does not mean they won't erase her. It's a common theme in media and doesn't just happen with Gaga. Y'all love to talk about not forcing a label on her but when it comes to actually respecting the label she identifies with, which is bisexual, it gets real quiet. You need to check your internalized biphobia on that one.

I'm French and I can confirm that nobody knows about this magazine If she said it on TV I would agree with you, but she never mentions it at impactful events Of course, it's a real interview, she's been interviewed by the magazine several times throughout her career. I don't expect it to have impact because no one cares much about bisexual representation outside of the bi+ community. But you asked if she's acknowledged it recently, and she has, here is your answer. She's also mentioned it during her Vegas shows and at Pride last year by the way, so I don't exactly know what "impactful shows" you're looking for but bisexuals don't need to talk about being bi all the time for people to respect us. DpHitch1992 1,158
I've always seen gaga as more of a 'open minded' kinda person rather than a bisexual woman tbh
lgsbchac 273
My question to all of you assuming it's her fault is why are you so quick to defend the media, whose job is to do proper research, especially if it's their "Pride" department posting, instead of asking for Gaga's identity to just be respected/acknowledged? Also why do so many people want her to be straight so bad? It's weird.

We just say it's easy to forget about her bisexuality, which Billboard did. Also, nobody wants her to be straight. I think nobody cares

You need to check your internalized biphobia on that one. Billboard would have no problem clarifying with Gaga and her team about an article they are putting out. What I'm saying is that it seems intentional that shes been left out multiple times. They aren't going to put an article like that out without clearing it with publicists and managers first. They wouldn't risk an article on an artist just for them to come out and say it's not true. So TO ME It would seem that everyone involved knows something we dont. That MAYBE, and I'll say it again, MAYBE, she is attracted to girls but doesn't self identify as bi. And TO ME everytime something like this gets put out, and the LGBTs start buzzing, it makes me uncomfortable because it feels disrespectful if, sucky labels/labels suck, she doesnt self identify as such. This isnt wish washy ****. Lol She has twitter and 20 secs. She could have linked any of these article and said "Hello, I'm bi!" And she totally would have because she's Gaga.
