From debut, Gaga's sited the likes of David Bowie, Grace Jones and Madonna, to name a few, as inspirations.
Gaga's now been in the game over ten years, what artists do you think she has influenced or inspired over the years?

Well... since Gaga hit the spotlight everybody around 2009 went through a "I'm fashionably weird" era.

But both sonically and imagery, this comes to mind:

From Gaga's Wikipedia:

"In 2015, Time also noted that Gaga had "practically invented the current era of pop music as spectacle". Her work has influenced artists including Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Ellie Goulding, Halsey, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Jonas, Sam Smith, Noah Cyrus, Katherine Langford, MGMT, Allie X, and Greyson Chance."

Ariana, Cardi, Rina Sawayama, Ava and many others

This is from an interview with Ava Max for Vanity Fair:

The pure pop sound, the striking platinum blonde hair, the outsize persona, the flashy stage name—it all recalls, well, a certain pop-star icon. And Max didn’t shy away from the Gaga comparisons. She name-checked Gaga—along with Spears, Perry, CĂ©line Dion, and Mariah Carey—as one of her musical inspirations. Of Gaga, in particular, she offered, “It’s funny, people compare me to her, but I think she’s such a legend, and she’s untouchable to me. I think she’s as . . . I see her as iconic. So that’s such a compliment every time I hear that. Yeah, she’s incredible.”

:ladyhaha: and thank god she had that influence. Those of us who are too young to remember might be shocked to realize how (comparatively) boring and drab pop music was in the 2000s before Gaga arrived.

She literally made the entire industry step up their game.
