It's not clear when the video was taken, but by Wednesday afternoon, the three-day-old clip — titled "Holding a Black Lives Matter Sign in America's Most Racist Town" — racked up more than 1 million views on platforms like YouTube (with at least 637,000 views) and Twitter (with at least 390,000). The total number of views was steadily growing late Wednesday. ... The video also shows a man wearing a Walmart employee badge asking the filmmaker to leave the store location. Walmart did not immediately respond to a News-Leader request for comment on Wednesday, but Newsweek reported Tuesday that the company issued a statement. "As a company committed to racial equity, we stand in solidarity with the Black community and are appalled some chose to express themselves in such a hurtful way," Walmart's statement said, according to Newsweek. "The individual represented in this video was asked to leave the premises because we have a policy prohibiting solicitation and demonstrations on Walmart property for both individuals and organizations."
