Socialism is badly needed in the US, socialism in its purest form and that means government helping those in need with programs etc and different systems to help the lower class lower middle class which I think is something most americans are against. It’s not really specifically racist, it’s classist. But obviously there’s a lot of overlap given centuries of systemic racism contributing to the cycle of poverty, and this will disproportionately affect poc I’d say the “Mexicans are rapists” comment was probably the most blatantly racist, or maybe the time he joked about shooting immigrants. A little off topic but I live by the ghetto/slums of my city My family used to be really poor and that's the house we could afford... Now me and my brothers have grown up and contribute financially... Also my dad moved up in the company big time (he's the highest Supervisor in the company) and makes almost double what he did even just 10 years ago. So if they wanted to they could upgrade to much better areas now But my parents put so much work into gradually renovating the house the way they want it that now they don't want to move plus as low end as my part of the city is at least it's close to everything and my mom who refuses to drive (says it gives her anxiety) can walk to everything So we shall remain in the suburb slums forever Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
