Yes. Her fanbase is hands down the most selfish and entitled of them all. It's not really a surprise why she's a wreck now.

Who told you she’s a wreck girl? :laughga:

REALITY

I don't understand why y'all are like, "Gaga should ditch this," "Gaga should do more of this," "Gaga needs to stop doing this," etc.

Lady Gaga will do whatever the **** Lady Gaga wants to do and y'all will like it :huntyga:

One of the great things about Gaga is that she isn't confined to one particular sound or genre. She can do pop, and jazz, and rock, and country, and classical, etc., etc., etc. If you don't like her pop stuff (which...okay?? I guess), the good news is that she's always going to change her sound! If you don't like her rock stuff (which...again...okay?? I guess), then good news! She'll change her sound again! Just let her do whatever the hell she wants to do.

I can't imagine her only churning out pop music forever. Honestly, that would be a tad boring, at least for me.

Umm I think if she hadn't wanted to do something like Chromatica she simply wouldn't have released it. Since ARTPOP Gaga learned to do what she likes and comes out of her heart without paying attention to her fans or her record label.

Is clearly with Chromatica she wanted it to be a 90s House/Dance album bc she likes that music too

If she wanted to do something for the charts would released a Latin Pop/Urban album featuring J Balvin, Bad Bunny and all of those mediocre artists

If she wanted to do something for her fans she would have released a TFM 2.0 with dated 2009 sounds

as if she actually didn't with ariana and specially blackpink :billie:

She isn't a wreck, but I do agree the fanbase is a problem

I would hate for her to do something like Folklore, it's not ground breaking or innovative.

I would prefer for Gaga to always continue to push herself with electronic music like Björk

Girl. Wait for her to come back with a full Chromatica Visual Experience and watch everyone hop onto the bandwagon once again. They only want twitter war ammunition. Thats the extent of their involvement.

You nailed it with Twitter war ammunition.

*TBH I wouldn't be shocked if this was pretty much "it" except for maybe one more MV. Fans act like she did nothing, but she did do some promo...and at this point (2 months later) there doesn't seem like there's really any point in her doing promo except to hype up the Chromatica Ball. My wild guess is she'll drop LG7 a lot earlier than anyone expects—maybe in the next six months or so–and then fans will jump "back" on the bandwagon.

We don’t know and there really is no point in speculation except for possible getting our hopes up and being disappointed. I’ll just wait patiently until there’s any word from her! At the end of the day I’m here for her no matter what.

Girl... they’re so different. She chose female artists and a sound that is much more pertinent to the LGBT+ community and rarely heard in the mainstream these days. Yes they have huge hit potential because of the high profile nature of the collabs, but lets not devalue the power that they have in shifting the pop music pendulum away from what were having currently.

Chromatica Island

No, that's where she started and she is very good at it, so, no. She can venture into other genres tho and  also stay true to herself in the pop realm.

I don't think Gaga is "over" pop. She often name checks electronic artists, even some obscure ones. I think it's as simple as she didn't want to do the whole dog and pony show (esp. as she had already done some promo like magazine covers, etc.) once COVID-19 hit and the protests became nation wide—which is understandable—and fans just can't accept it. She probably put a lot of effort into doing the promo, and between having to shelf it and the album leaking (which Hanna said upset her) might have just killed some of the buzz for her. And yes, she could have done "more" (like some zoom performances) but it's perfectly fine if maybe she just didn't want to do it...even if she hadn't done any promo (and she did do some regardless of what fans say).  Now two months have passed and she might not even see the point....

That said, I do kind of get why some critics said Chromatica felt like fan service. I love it, but it was clearly designed to be played in the clubs & recreate 90s French House. It was "safe" in the fact that it clearly catered to a very particular audience. Hopefully, it's just because that's what she wanted to do but between fans making Joanne jokes & her even addressing people accusing her of "selling out" on stage....I get why some people feel like she might be not doing what she necessarily wants to do.

Silence does not equal being a wreck.

She has ptsd, depression and fibro, and it’s possible she’s going through a rough time. And it’s equally possible that she is working really hard on something. Or both, or something else entirely; just living her life.

We don’t know what her silence means and fans really need to stop acting like they know.

Wow I didn't realize so many people here didn't like Chromatica...? I revisited it last night after not listening to it for like a week and was so into it. It's such a good album.

But I do think she's going to likely branch out again the next album.

Also - why are people so short sighted and literal in threads like this? Nobody is saying she SHOULD do anything. This thread is purely speculating. You would think a community of fans of someone known for not speaking super literally would not be so ****ing literal all the time. Some of these replies are so annoying.
