I can recognize Swift is a great songwriter (though has had some...questionable past few albums), but I've yet to really enjoy her albums especially the most recent ones (Red onwards). What's the general vibe, musically? I like basically any genre of music so I'm not out here looking for bangers or anything in order for it to be "quality". For those who don't listen to solely pop, is the album similar to any other music (present or past)? Basically, if you could, tell me what this album's about because I'm a little cramped for time today and want to give it a listen if it warrants it. it's like All Too Well took a road trip with Safe and Sound after a breakup that they keep thinking about and went to Portland with The Decemberists and The National and found a really hole in the wall cafe shop and bed and breakfast on a Main Street in a quiet village. Logan 20,734
Exile is one of the most emotional songs I've heard in a long time. Bravo Taylor, bravo.

gagaisitalian 3,573
I'm a huge Swift fan and I am in love with this album. I have absolutely loved the pop bops that we got from Red, 1989 and Reputation, but Lover was such a sore thumb to me. The album's messages and compositions sounded so immature and silly (and I'm not even talking about Me!, which I thought was a great, fun bop). The past year, since Lover, I knew she would need to do something to sort of "win" me back over, as well as a lot of my friends, and she has done it! We are all in love with this album. This album is a stripped-back Red mixed with her flawless songwriting that we got to know best during Speak Now. Now I just hope Lover Fest is cancelled and she's planning a little more of a proper tour (aka coming to Texas; which I'm sure holds a large majority of her fans)! I liked The Archer, Miss Americana, Cornelia Street, False God and Afterglow, but the rest of the album was not really my taste (like I literally don't understand the hype Cruel Summer has and why people are disappointed it didn't get single treatment) and took a long time for me to listen through the album and not be disappointed, after reputation. Like literally a couple weeks ago I thought "well this album is growing on me."

Ziggy 11,835
Finally gave it a listen: I'm really pleased with this album. I wouldn't say I'll listen to it again (it just isn't typically something I give more than the occasional listen sound-wise; it's very much a mood album), but ya know, this is a really great album. That's nice to see in 2020. It's not a collection of disparate songs like most albums are nowadays. I like that the songs don't feel rushed or edited for streaming (Chromatica, though I love it). It feels fleshed out and first and foremost this highlights her best, most distinctive skill which is songwriting. This is what I like to see from artists. Pandemic really changing the game and making you reconsider everything about what you were doing. I think as a woman growing and maturing, this is what I would like to see more of from her. Betty is a really, really great track.
Glamourpuss 29,062
I haven't listened to this album yet because I'm feeling a bit depressed today so I'm going to wait until I'm in a better mood. It's good to see that it's so well received, especially by members of Gaga daily because some of you can be really critical. I have a feeling I'm going to love it because I'm a fan of her songwriting. But I'll wait for a better day when I can properly enjoy it.
Poltergeist 3,622
Can I stand Taylor? No. Did I listen to the album anyway? Yes, I did. And I find it boring in the same way as Halsey's Manic, I don't even notice when one song switches to another I've been getting messages from my deep waters
Lorde Von Kok 4
Ok, maybe I was tired yesterday. I'm listening again to the songs that I enjoyed the most (the first half), and I'm amazed. They are perfect for my sad and nostalgic warm heart. I think because of where I am currently with my mental health following my devastating breakup, I try to enjoy sunlight and positivity, and too much of this album brings me back to sadness, but not like Chromatica, where I was dancing while crying. Here, I'm reflecting while crying, something I've been doing for months now. Nonetheless, the standout tracks on this record are god-tier. The rest feels like filler from Red mixed with Lover while still in the Reputation state-of-mind. I will avoid this record like the plague because it's making me feel some type of way What is done in the dark shall one day come to light.
