You are completely right. Not only Albanians, but Bosnians and Croats. They wanted to take the territory by killing people. People from Kosovo are doing it without violence and are only claiming their land.

As for Kosovo huge majority of people who live on Kosovo claim Serbia is not their country and that their country is Kosovo. And their opinion is the only one that matters. 

I don’t know why you mentioned Bosnia but same goes for Bosnia. Bosniaks are HUGE majority in Bosnia and they lived there for thousands of years and only changed their religion when Ottomans came. They were Bogomils before. People who identify as Bosniaks make huge majority of 50%, Serbs less than 30% and Croats less then 15% yet they somehow want to claim it as their own which is nonsense. 

I know that Albanians aren't Turks, but the Albanians living in modern territory of Serbia weren't to be found prior to Turkish invasion of the Balkans. The picture Dua shared includes parts of Serbian territory like Nis ( COMPLETELY irrelevant to albanians, and sandzak area which again, isn't relevant to Albanians). 

As for Kosovo, i agree logically with their independence, now you can't change anything about it, 95% are albanians and it should be so, it's another story if things would be different, but they're not ( due to many factors). 

I brought up Bosnia because the map that Dua shows includes parts of Greece, Montenegro and Serbia where Albanians are only a small minority, yet they claim it as a part of their territory. That's why I said that if we were to go by that logic, both Croats and Serbs could claim Bosnia, because we are in fact native to Bosnia, but if every country went into that way of thinking, world war 2 would never be stopped.

That's why my OG point is. She should've stayed silent with that nationalistic picture that does no good

I'm not really aware of the message behind the latest Dua's post, but I've seen Serbs coming for her for YEARS. In fact, it's lowkey hilarious to see them meltdown every time they hear her name, they literally can't stand her. All because she said Kosovo wasn't Serbia in the past.

Let me explain this to you on a personal level so that you can relate to it! Imagine if one day Severina posted a picture of NDH that covers the area of whole bosnia, syrmia in serbia, and a little bit of coastal montenegro. How would you react? Dua is doing exactly that, sharing pictures that belong to a facist ideology

This is an expansionist map BUT I do not think she meant it with an expansionist intent. I think she meant these are the lands that Albanians have been roaming in for thousands of years (and it is true...all those regions at least have an Albanian minority or majority population). This does not mean those areas need to be incorporated into Albania. It just means that these are what Albanians views as their ancestors lands. I hope that is her view otherwise an expansionist ideology is a bad one. I mean look at Serbia's horrible expansionist agenda towards Kosovo...fighting fire with fire is bad for both sides imo.

I hope Dua realizes the mistake on her part. I've been seeing people coming for her for days and she tweeted this only a couple of hours ago, though? Did something happen recently?

hey! I agree with most of your posts in this thread even though I am a huge supporter of Kosovo's independence and against Serbia's expansionist attitude towards Kosovo. With that said can you please edit this post and add a part that explains that Albanians are indigenous to Europe? Many people will read this post and think you meant Ottomans brought Albanians to the Balkans when they have been in the Balkans far longer than Slavic people who only migrated there around the 6th century. I know that you meant Ottomans settled Albanians in the region of Kosovo but it came across as if you said Albanian's history in the Balkans only dates 500 years when this is obviously not true as their history is even older in the region than all Slavic people there.

Sure will do! Thank you for being so reasonable! I am really trying to negotiate between the two parts, personally I am not pro Kosovo, but it's for the people of Kosovo to decide, yet I want to clarify of how wrong Dua was. So thank you for being reasonable enough!
