sillynate 6,170
So the era itself (even though it’s mostly just promo photos for now because there’s little to no live appearances and fashion) is like 47.5% BTW, 47.5% AP, and 5% TFM It follows ARTPOP’s “pain exploding in electronic music” thesis And then sonically it’s like BTW with no ballads. BTW was a modern take on 80’s pop music/melodies with lots of other genre influences. Ch is a modern take on 90’s house (and late 80’s too) music with other genre influences Ball is back in the tour name. Last two tours didn’t use it (not counting residencies)
gagaxsebert 5,804
It's a hybrid of BTW & AP, leaning more towards BTW & more cohesive than both. I love the album but it's interesting for me because I rarely just want to listen to select songs off Chromatica and just listen to the album entirely because that's how it works best imo Used to be HighRoad
BlondeQueenOfGGD 25,454
It’s Born This Way’s edgy sister
BillieGOAT 5,216
ARTPOP is the only right answer, most of Chromatica’s production sounds like it could have come straight from DJWS
TimisaMonster 31,073
The visuals and lyrics feel very BTW I can see some splashes of ARTPOP but not really...feels very throwback with the alien planet, 80s/90s house vibes, very bubbly choruses Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! Anderson123 38,292
The Fame actually. Born This Way and ARTPOP were too in your face and so much going on, such rebellious records. The Fame and Chromatica have kind of the same energy in the sense that the songs are catchy and fun, straight the point. The lyrics of course are very personal and that part reminds me of Joanne and maybe ARTPOP. As for the visuals, I see so much of Born This Way and The Fame Monster in there. LadyEnigma 1,186
ARTPOP is on another level to be compared to Chromatica, it’s easily BTW
Genuine Guy 09 13,941
It's nothing like ARTPOP, Chromatica is good lyrically and not trying too hard yet vapid Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight
