GipJo 2,912 Posted July 16, 2020 Share Posted July 16, 2020 News from Hollywood Reporter: Cinemas in China, the world's second-biggest theatrical film market, were given the official greenlight Thursday to resume business beginning July 20. Not all movie theaters in China will be opening at once, however. The Film Administration's directive says that theaters in "low-risk" areas for coronavirus infection will be permitted to "resume business July 20 in an orderly manner," but multiplexes in " middle and high-risk regions" must remain temporarily closed." For any cinema that reopens to the public, various restrictions must be implemented. Restrictions include: Viewers must wear masks the whole time; Viewers' temperature must be below 37.3℃; Tickets must be sold online; Viewers must use self service machines to get tickets; The capacity must be below 30%; Viewers must practice social distancing; No eating and drinking allowed; Movies must be below 120mins runtime…… With a date to reopen, China puts a XinJiang based child story movie as it's first release after reopening. The movie called A First Farewell, it already aired on Tokyo Flim Festival in 2018 and Berlin International Film Festival in 2019 and got very positive reviews. Irrelevant 20,293 Posted July 16, 2020 Share Posted July 16, 2020 I mean life in Beijing has basically returned back to normal except everyone wears masks and you need to scan a tracking QR code and take ur temperature everytime you enter a public area so I think it's fine.
