Interscope finally did something professional and uploaded a big Gaga performance to Vevo forever. See, when you move for once, you get 500M views.

What was the point of publishing the TIHTY Oscar performance only for a year? Where is the Sound Of Music performance? Where is the Joanne/Million Reasons perf from the GRAMMYs? Where is the Poker Face/LoveGame Much Music performance? Paparazzi, Yoü And I, Applause at the VMAs? Why is the Poker Face/Speechless/Your Song performance only available in the US? They could've had another 500M views with these performances combined

Edit: The Cure from the AMAs? Million Reasons from the AMAs? BDR, Just Dance, Poker Face and LoveGame from the AOL sessions? (they uploaded the Paparazzi AOL perf which got 30M views alone)

With the right singles/promo I think Gaga could end up as the 6th female artist with the most top 10s. :golfclap:

They're gone because the license ran out. These performances are the property of the TV stations that they were performed on, Interscope would have to shill out big money to keep them on Gaga's YouTube. It's worth the money with Shallow's numbers, 400M+ views is crazy and generates more profit than it costs fees to keep it up, but the rest of the performances didn't move enough numbers to warrant extended licensing.

You also have to think about Gaga's social media team, back in the day she ran her own YouTube and uploaded her own TV performances as LQ rips and got SEVERAL copyright strikes because of it, which does limit what they are able to do with channel in terms of uploading performances in the first place.

I understand that but then, why is Born This Way from the GRAMMYs still on VEVO? It “only” has 30M views. Or the Chromatica performance from the VMAs? 8 million views in 7 months. Paparazzi at the VMAs would've easily had at least 60-80M views after 11 years

Occasional freebies by companies to keep Gaga and her team in good graces or permanent licensing deals. I'd argue that her team struck some permanent licensing deals to keep her bigger performances on her YouTube forever (her Superbowl performance, potentially the 2020 VMAs, Shallow at the Oscars etc.)

The thing is that you're totally dependant on whatever offer you are given by the TV station you performed at. MTV has been quite peculiar with the VMA licensing, nowadays they do prefer to keep performances on their own channel, almost no artist has their VMA performances on their own channel, I think Gaga's medley in 2020 got a huge exception.

And there supposed to be second column with numbers of official singles in Us 🤭 this would look so much better for Gaga

As another member said, it depends on the TV rights etc.

Do any of you chartsters know how close Just Dance and Shallow are to diamond? I saw some link that said Gags was the first female to have four diamond singles, but couldn't find any confirmations for that claim.

Thanks!! (And sorry if neither single is close and I'm wasting your time!)
