I’ve always thought they’re reliable but seems a bit low for Chromatica. Is it just pure sales only? It's not pure sales,it's streams and sales! But Mediatraffic includes only few countries! Chromatica sold around 2.2m I will fly on a challenger across the sky like a phoenix..

Chromatica sold around 2.2m What major markets doesn't Mediatraffic include? Whatever they are, they'd have to at the very least account for more sales than US + UK combined. EDIT: So, I looked it up and it tracks SPS from 7/10 of the top 10 music markets of 2019. It also estimates the SPS from 2/3 of the remaining top 10 (Germany#4, Brazil#10), based on official chart positions. It appears to not track sales from the final country, China (#7). Unless Chromatica is a Thriller level success in China, or there's some serious miscalculation with the Germany and Brazil charts, I seriously doubt it's at 2M SPS WW. It sold less than 800k in the US and less than 200k in UK. I don't think it did 1 million units in the rest of the world. Chromatica is nowhere near 2 million units WW but Mediatraffic is still incredibly inaccurate because multiple huge music industries never release numbers and the admin of the site admitted that most of the numbers are arbitary guesstimates. For South Korea for example he uses Hanteo, which is not the official chart of the country but provides weekly sales numbers that have been proven to be inaccurate and prone to manipulation. China is not included in his calculations, India isn't either. Germany's numbers never get released and he constantly guesses them.

Which is why the IFPI only counts pure sales for the albums, because that's the one thing that's indisputable.

You can’t just put together YT and Spotify streams and divide them by the numbers used by Billboard for their chart, which are only valid for the US. That’s like saying Despacito sold 7 million units just cause it has about 10 billion combined YT+Spotify streams. The system used in the figures you just posted is ONLY available to the US. Each country has a different way in incorporating streams and sales. The only way to correctly count worldwide units is by certifications provided by each country and/or weekly chart numbers. We don’t really know Chromatica’s real worldwide numbers, but we know it passed 700K in the US and is close to 200K in the UK. I’d rather say it’s at about ~1,5 million worldwide, on very rough estimates. It will reach 1 million in the US and 250K in the UK (maybe even 300K) in the long run and definitely pass 2 million WW, but it’s not there yet.
