nah I have to disagree. I really don't like ANYTHING about Taylor's music and artistry overall, I think she's very basic and overrated. But I have to give it to her, she was able to remain very relevant and get hit after hit with every album nonstop since she started her career. She has no 'flops' under her belt, and the only time when she started to put her audience off and it seemed she was over, she did Reputation and everyone switched 180°. She's THE master of marketing and remaning relevant in very tumoltuous times social-wise and streaming-wise. Idk about her actual music, but she'll for sure be remembered for being the pop culture master she is

Numbers =\= Impact. We'll talk again in 10 years.

Please don't turn this into a Lady Gaga vs Taylor Swift discussion. Stay on topic and talk about the charts.

These people have no clue what they're talking about. They have no idea how big Gaga is. Just because you can sell millions of album through marketing strategies and selling 20 versions of the same thing, doesn't mean they have an impact

Chromatica had (still has) 5 different vinyls and 5 different cassettes on sale and it’s units are still pretty low.

I never said she has flops, she constantly reinvents herself which is very rare and I respect that about her but do you really think when she crosses 40, kids will support her? You can tell that an artist had an impact when people of all ages respect the artist. I don't mean to be rude but people of my age group hate Taylor. Seriously, even my teachers said she thrives of drama. However, they have respect for Gaga even if they're not fans.

Did you see Tay's strategies? I suggest you should watch Gossipboy's video about Taylor and you'll know how she sells millions.

UK Monday Midweeks:

#44 (+26) Chromatica

#31 (-2) Rain On Me with Ariana Grande
#84 (+13) Shallow with Bradley Cooper

Hopefully Chromatica re-enters the top 40 this Friday. :flutter:

As for 911, it has not entered the Top 100 and so doubt it will unless streams and sales drastically improve, although it has been lingering around 70-90 for a couple of days now.

oh trust i know that. but it's not what I'm saying. even though she didn't have any actual impact in music, fashion and art in general (as Gaga did and still does) she's been delivering the highest numbers for the last 15 years and always managing to capture the GPs attention completely through strategy, marketing and managing of the masses' interest. and you don't see that often. i agree that she's not gonna be remembered by her art, but i don't think it's fair to put her in the same bag as girls like Camila Cabello, Selena Gomez, Little Mix and girls like that. Those are the ones that gonna be forgotten FOR GOOD in like 5 years, if not already..

True, i wouldn't put her in the same category as those girls.

Why are some of you even feeling attacked by Taylor Swift too? Because she sells really good in US? Ok fine, so does Gaga and her sales and chart success goes beyond that aka in other parts of the world and let's not even talk about the fact that sales and chart success is not even the main thing why Gaga is so relevant, acclaimed, successful, her success even goes beyond music, so I totally don't get it.
