What did y'all expect with zero promo? :laughga:

Let's see how things turn out if she starts to give it a bunch of promo.

But what does promo has to do with pop radio?

Can Gaga send Chromaticakes to radios? Or do radio interviews?

You know he’s not talking about promo promo, he means Scooter’s 6 credit cards payola “promo”. This is all your fault Interscope! :grr:

If she promotes the song, and it gets more and more exposure, and more people start listening to it and requesting it, wouldn't that effect it's placement in future weeks? :oprah:

I'm worried will this affect the GRAMMYs?

If Beyonce gets nominated everytime she sneezes and her music is basically ignored chart wise, I think Gaga will be fine.

Let's all remember Joanne (WDYTYG)

Well, I think you are mixing. The callout scores are the opinions of the listeners. The spins are done by a dj in a radio station. If they have a request for a song, the dj will probably give it a spin, but that doesn’t mean that the callouts are going to be better.

Tbh, I really don’t think promo would’ve actually affected anything. Promo is pretty inessential in today’s market. Most huge songs nowadays last due to actual desire to listen to them. ROM is a fantastic song, but it just isn’t resonating as well as we thought it would with the gp.

Oh well :yennefer:

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

Internet and streaming exist, why would the GP request songs they like on the radio, which are already popular and being played... we're not in the '90s anymore :wtf:

Thanks for clarifying.

US radio is dead to me. I'm going full on streaming from here on out. If I have to listen to Blinding Lights or Rockstar one more time, I'm liable to drive into a telephone pole.

Rain On Me has pop radio hit written all over it. It has Ariana Grande, it's catchy, it's mainstream, it's digestable, radio-friendly, it was written to be a hit. If the US radio is STILL paying it dust, take it as a huge red flag.

How is radio paying it dust when it’s about to reach #10 on POP?:triggered:
the song can still improve on callouts and callouts hardly break or make a song like some users here always claim. They are not the principal metric used for DJs and it is a fact.

Well, but it is a fact that the song has been receiving negative updates and very small positive updates. And this is not a good sign, because that means that the PRs ROM has are not enough. And yes, ROM is being payed dust because by now, it should have much more PRs than it currently has, hence why we are decreasing on AI.
