Chandeliers actually make since in the song though. It's about getting belligerently drunk too much/living too decadently, hence the chandelier. Gaga's trying to make an earthquake seem somehow catastrophic enough that she and the subject are the only people left on the planet. Earthquakes literally happen every day all over the world, mostly very weak. Maybe she could've said "asteroid" instead and I wouldn't be picking this fight, but here we are.
