There are no classics on Chromatica

Agreed. I suppose she will continue to perform the same songs with no substantial alterations, and covers, when it comes to important and celebratory events, for the most part. Or enough for it be perceived as the norm.

She will probably (saying probably feels wrong, but Gaga is yet to do it lmao) perform some songs from Chromatica at some point, but I personally don’t think any of them will become major recognisable songs for non-fans and casual listeners.

Chromatica won’t be an evergreen album like The Fame, or a top-grade pop defining album like TFM and BTW.

true, ROM might be but that's about it. 911 could be with a mv and the whole works but I don't think that's going to happen:poot: There's always a chance that one of em could come out of the blue but idk which song it would be.

The Tortured Poets Department is out NOW

I think I will wait till this time next year to make this judgement.  Songs are supposed to be performed and so far we have zilch and it is performances that play a role in making a song a classic.

Humm the classic depends of the song is associated with something, we must as a collective entity associate it with a period or feel connected. Like i dont think it has to be a single

So example, road to love. Id say its a classic, besides the big chorus, theres the ride ride poney. Those are memorable things. Its the whole atmosphere of back then.

We still dont have any of that. Most of nonfans arent still that aware.

I think replay has a bit potential. Free woman could have, but besides the recording imo not being the best, the whole idea is bit overdone.

Rain on me has potential, those something flat about it.

Maybe crazyer video for 911, with a more bold approach could make that impression

Stupid Love, Rain On Me, and even Sour Candy are already classics for me

(If given proper single treatment) I can also foresee Babylon, Sine From Above, Free Woman, 1000 Doves, and Fun Tonight taking off too

As most people have said, we don't know that yet and even if it doesn't have a classic that doesn't mean it's a bad album. Plus she scored 2 new classics recently,  shallow and million reasons. So yeah not every era needs a classic. Just enjoy the music if you like it and if you don't listen to something else.

Madam what? :awkney:

Replay, Enigma, Alice, 911 are all classics. And soon ROM as it's serving longevity.

What do you mean by classic? Success? I think RoM is successful. There are so many good songs that she could sing in the upcoming years. My picks are Free woman, RoM, Alice, Babylon, 1000 Doves

I can see you n I was thinking same way..

Maybe Alice n Babylon but only if they choose them for future singles or promo and they acquire their own visual..

Sine from Above n Enigma too but I don’t see them to be singles..

Yes. Have to agree.

Its a beautiful album.

But other than Babylon, there is no "That Song" in this album.

And maybe Sine from Above.. (if time and promo helps. Can be a classic)

Just A Holy Fool

The album has been out barely a month, how do we know what will be a classic in 5-10 years?
