Hebi 13,928
"But if you give me time then I could make time... for your love" it sounds nice but idk I don't like when words repeat themselves
ApplauseftAdele 4,679
The chorus to free woman is just so... idk, easy? Compared to Scheiße’s chorus, Free Woman’s chorus just lacks the interesting wordplay or metaphors that Gaga normally uses.
dit 43,478
yeah for me the weakest lyrics are on Sour Candy. That "yeah yeah yeah" part is literally just LAZY writing. There's no other way around it lol. It's a mindless bop though so it makes up for it but I hate that they didn't place some lyric there. Other than that I actually love all of the quirky lyrics on this album. It is Gaga after all and she known for unconventional lyricism which is charming imo.

That one... the first part is cool, because partying like its BC kinda makes sense, it could mean to party without restrictions, without thinking if something is good or bad, not worrying about religious concepts and all that... but the rest why would you make a reference to BC times and then one of AC times... I just don't get it. She’s talking about 16th century BC  Babylon is documented as one of the most prosper cities in the world during that period

Maybe “I am nothing without a steady hand” instead? It's a double negative. It means she's still something (something is not nothing) even without a steady hand. And that was highlighted with the other line, "I'm still something if I don't got a man."
