I was turned off initially when it starts and they do the flashbacks to her as a kid and growing up where she talks about basically her main driving force throughout her entire life is what others think of her, and that she's basically doing anything she can in order to receive praise.

Then the part with her acting like it was some huge traumatic event that reputation didn't garner any main category Grammy nominations (probably because it wasn't a very good album but that's neither here nor there). As if people don't fight tooth and nail to even get ANY Grammy nominations, and Taylor, who has dominated the Grammys for years and years much to the annoyance is many people who think it's unfair, get a damn grip girl.

She then proceeds to complain how people accuse her of being calculated, when literally every single thing in the doc shows that she IS calculated. Even that whole scene with making a political statement. She didn't say a damn word for years because she wanted to play both sides. She had the country music fans which are historically Republican, and then did her little pop cross over and got the Democrats and the gays, and only when everyone else is making statements, does she suddenly want to speak up.

"I want to come out on the right side of history!" Which translates to: "The public is leaning this way and in the future I want to be in the books as agreeing with the winning party so that people will like me!"

Blegh.

She's got some bops tho. :poot:
