The age of consent for sex in US is 18 years. She was 17 and he was 20

And yet some GGD users (who can't count apparently), are debating whether it was consensual or not. :bye:

He was 20 at the time, but I agree, a 3 year gap is hardly anything major. I guess it's because the age of consent is 18 in America. Here in the UK it's 16

The age of consent varies from 16 to 18.

She’s saying that there’s more to the story and I’d never belittle the experiences of a rape victim but I know the twitter user, we were both in an Ansel group chat some time ago. :huntyga:

She was kinda a problematic user, always saying the n-word, saying that she wants to get fcked by Ansel and some other stuff...

Ansel is in fact weird and we shouldn’t have “opinions“ if someone got raped or not. Just as an information to take online rape insinuations against celebrities with a a little grain of salt. Not because celebs are hollow and won’t do stuff like that, but more because some people might do it for 15 minutes of fame or simply out of hate.

Edit: she even got called out for calling Shawn Mendes a “white n-word”. She’s implying that it wasn’t her twitter account back then but it always had her as a pfp + @ was the same too sooooo

1.the age of consent in the US is 18, as far as i’m aware. not consent.

Actually it's 16 in a lot of states, 17 in almost as many, and a minority of states have 18 as the legal age.

But 20 and 17 are only 3 years apart, there's a thing called the "Romeo and Juliet" law here that actually saved my sister from statutory rape charges when she was knocked up by a 16 year old when she was 18 :emma:

The Romeo & Juliet Law applies when the following criteria is met: The victim is between the ages of 14 and 17. The victim was no more than four years younger than the offender. The victim must have been a willing participant in the sexual activity.

Odd that they use the word "victim" but my point is there's nothing age related here. Sleeping with someone three years younger than you isn't pedophilia.

She could just say he was a rough bastard that forced himself on her. That's bad enough without trying to spin a pedo narrative :emma:

I feel bad for her, but people need to stop acting like you're a dumbass at 17 year old. :rip: She repeated "I was ****ing 17" so many times throughout her post, like... okay?

I'm sorry... but these girls seem to CONSENT to sex when they're underage, then claim they were raped as they get older. TBH it seems like these girls are looking for attention yet they claim they're exposing to "heal". not buying it

Right? She talks about it as if she was an innocent little girl that was stolen away from the playground by a huge adult man :emma:

She could just say she was a fan girl who was assaulted. The pedo narrative isn't needed or even viable because a 20 year old can legally have sex with a 17 year old in every state :emma:

I don't know if I believe it was assault, tbh. Her post is kinda weird... she straight up jumps to "I was sobbing in pain". :emma: To me it sounds more like horrible first time, rather than the assault.

He seems like a douchebag that just wanted to deflower someone, but that's far from rape/assault.

Most of US States' Age Of Consent is 16 or 17..

New York's Age Of Consent (the girl is from NYC and Ansel is from NY too) is 17..

It was CONSENSUAL.. that's not even the debate here.. the argument is whether it's a rape if she says it's rape.. she's very brave but again from my understanding twas consensual and she felt pain and didnt enjoy it.. sounds like that Aziz Ansari incident, horrible sex experience but not a sexual assault

Simplying saying, for people it's always the girl's fault never the man. Everyone always says 'but why did u accept to x y z in the first place?' instead of saying 'why would he hurt someone like that?'

Tbh, the fact that she's repeating the "I was only 17, he was in his 20s" all throughout her post kinda ruined the intent for me.. she exactly knew what she was doing on highlighting the age difference

ANSEL was a d*ck for not treating her well at her first but i dont know if that can be considered a sexual assault..
