Chromatica is the only Gaga album where the album name is not a name of an actual song on the record (I am not counting the Chromaludes). Why didn't she name the album Enigma? Is it too ARTPOP? Replay, Babylon, Sine or Free Woman would also have been killer album names. So why Chromatica? Where did it come from?

It's also the first time she didn't get the album title tattooed

It's also the first (second if you count ASIB) where she doesn't at least mention once the name of the album

It's also lowkey a stretch to not count the Chromaludes.  ngl :emma:

An enigma is a puzzle, something that is difficult to understand. But the majority of the songs are very articulate and revealing in their meaning, so having Enigma be the title wouldn't make sense to me.

Inb4 there is a secret track called Chromatica that she is reserving for the inevitable post-pandemic rerelease :queenga:

The Fame Monster doesn’t.

And Monster doesn’t count because it’s not the full title. If we count monster, we should count Chromatica I, II, and III

Omg I just realized this is the first time she doesn't name an album after a song.

I'm such a flop fan :messga:

Fame Monster wasn't a track name verbatim either

Because the song Enigma isn't a proper representation of the album meaning and production; if any song deserved to be the title track, that is Sine From Above.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

The only song that deserves to be a title track is Sine from above because it represents all the highs and lows of the album and ends with a theatrical bang. Also there’s a Sine symbol on the album cover.

Enigma is kind of a pretentious title, it’d have been a little bit cringey if she had decided to call it that way. Yeah we know she’s a very versatile artist but calling yourself that sounds... I don’t know, not that cool.
