Do this if you want to annoy radio stations with spam tweets.

I, personally, contacted the head of the Universal Music promo team and he wrote me a nice response.

People aren't annoyed by this if done politely and Twitter is one of the main communication platforms where you can tell radio what to play and they usually accept this. This shows demand and radio cares about this kind of stuff.

Gaga has one of the best 'release to flop ratio' - therefore I am not here for her doing a drive by spray of singles, including free woman (a summer bop) released in October just to get a #96-OUT small talk teas :bradley: Fun Tonight release during winter freeze is :awkney:

and these days singles last ages. Imagine how crowded it would be on Today's Top Hits. Sour Candy, Free Woman, Babylon, and Rain On Me all on one playlist :ladyhaha: ATRL would be Kii'ing

That’s true, but let’s be real - the ONLY single that has a chance at a real chart run is Sour Candy at this point. Nothing else is radio friendly in the slightest. Look at ROM - we’re already out of the top 10 after four weeks and that was a long stint for her. Sour Candy I bet will be similarly successful as I’m sure they’re timing it to launch after BLACKPINK releases their album.

Interscope is flooding the project with budget to keep visuals coming and keep her name in the public eye and in conversations constantly through January. We’re not going to have all these singles getting playlist treatment and endless radio play; the idea is to keep people talking about her to drive Grammy voters towards an AOTY win.

edited to say: and what makes even more sense is that Abel is her biggest competition at this point, and his promotion is running out of steam. She can hit hard on the back end and win.( I could also see The Chicks coming through as a threat tho)

like those radio twitter aren't even operated by their DJs just some random interns are doing the job so why not we can't do it to at least have some sense of participation or excitement:rip:

Spamming radio stations with the same tweet isn't "polite" nor does it show demand. This is what Z100's mentions look like right now:

They are operated by DJs, at least Z100's is, partially.

Which bad because it doesn't involve ROM.

That ruins the whole countdown and subsequent meltdowns though :selena:

I 100% agree

But, I think SC will be released before BP album and after HYLT has packed in - probably start to mid August. It'll act as a bridge between BP 1st and 2nd single I guess.

I do think pouring money into the visuals is great. I think its hard to make songs become a 'thing' if they're not gonna be singles - to push a song off radio that is - but I don't think they'd let their main girl bomb by releasing 5 post album singles in the streaming era. Especially when even blade said they didn't even plan for a proper 3rd single originally

I think we will get MVs and hopefully frequent promo spots. I think FT does have a chance at being a single layer this year but that's it. The re-release coming straight after award season would also be good and commercially successful if Chromatica wins big at Grammys

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight
