US radio is so extra, I swear. Well I think radio deals don't tend to last past the first 48 hrs - so radio stations can play a song if they like it. Radio programmers loved the sound of Stupid love it's airplay friendly, however, listeners hated it I don't wanna serve 4bty tea but ROM was on a massive roll with the two big stations. For them to now cut the spins and play them at lunar times is concerning. However, the song has held on well on US Spotify and is top 10 iTunes. It's also got PR on some stations. It could be their own surveys are a mixed bag for ROM.
