True. I can also see it happening this time purely because the era has been stalled by 2 issues by this point and releasing something new might refresh the album if they ever do continue the promo again.

Also the shorter lengths seem to be somewhat to accommodate streaming. So I could see an EP or B-Sides album happen with new songs and alternate versions. The twist being they release them one by one. So like Haus Labs Babylon and then a month later Sophie track. Just pop them out as stand alone singles that boost the album cycle for streaming and then release a 2 LP Chromatica with the Original album and then a second album that’s made up of the B-side material AND a handful of new stuff. I think Chromatica TV might be part of that as well. I think a lot of this may end up coming out as a streaming experiment of sorts and not just an all at once traditional style rerelease.

As long as there are more new music :ladyhaha:

It would be great if she would put out an LP of B sides like what Carly's doing for her past 2 albums.

Even more confirmation of how Chromatica was just scraps thrown together by producers with Lady Gaga's voice on it :enigma:

I swear she at one point expressed dissatisfaction with ARTPOP due to her usual creation process being vastly different in the sense that many of the songs were preetablished tracks that were simply handed to her.

Hmm.

God, I know I’m probably just feeling really cynical right now, but this interview really galvanized the Chromatica featuring Lady Gaga joke and now I’m wallowing hdjdkskdkdkskq

3 points in and ready for more

Why ya'll would let down by the facts when songs mostly doesn't write&produced by the artist themselves?First of all,GAGA does write&produce all her music; And if it's not,it's still cool;Great song writer MAY NOT be great singer;Elvis never wrote a song;MJ never wrote a song;Diana Ross never wrote a song;Rihanna never wrote a song; But could this lower the quality of the music they put out? NO!

This is such an indent read on the creation of everything. Its such a experimental creative process they did, its so different than anything else.

Such a great article!

some of you all act like Gaga has always written all her songs from scratch 0 up. Flash news - NO!:laughga:

Her discography includes MANY songs that were written by others and Gaga added her touches (which is already more than any other superstar does). Have y’all heard of Come to Mama? Father John Misty literally sent the full ass ready track to her. It’s normal.

Yeah it's funny. As fans we're probably scrutinizing how it was produced more this time because how well it is doing and how well it has been received. And it being her first 'pop' record in seven years. When in reality she has used songs sent to her/songwriters before. Doesn't take away from the body of work.

Think of a novelist using an excerpt for their historical fiction novel to help set the scene and maybe adapting it slightly. No-one is going to say: OMG THEY DIDN'T WRITE THE WHOLE BOOK.

Kind of a sh*t analogy but anyway...

Pity she doesn't have producer credit on individual songs though... maybe for the next one...

I'm actually hoping for a full album sequel, with a bunch of new songs and a couple of new versions of existing songs. But of course that won't happen lol.

As much as  i love chromatica its true that some songs doesnt have the GAGA punch like , ROM, Alice, 911, Babylon which i consider the most Gaga songs,  on the other hand,  songs like free woman , fun tonight, plastic doll, sine from above, 100 doves feel rather like a new extension of her sound in pop and electronic music. And  theres nothing wrong with it but i can see how this time the sound of the producers outshined the gaga typical dark pop sound...

Also somewhere in the interview one of the producers mentions how he wanted to stay away from the trendy EDM  electronic sound, but i think they failed to do that in SFA, 1000 DOVES, AND FREE woman ... i love those songs but i cant help it to feel like its a remix of an actual gaga songs!

They said EDM-pop sound, not that it wasn’t trendy lol in the case of those songs listed I’d say only SFA sounds like pop EDM, SFA sounds like straight EDM circa 2011

The only song that I think feels out if place is Stupid Love which is kinda ironic because that’s the first sing that they made for Chromatica and it should have been the whole album sound and thank goodness it’s not the case..

Agreed. It’s just too bright imo the rest of the album has this somber energy (which even the producers pointed out). I think if there had been wider variety of sounds throughout the album it could have fit better or even a different intro from Alice. For instance, BTW works where it does because it has this brooding spoken word intro that *then* launches into the explosive, happy disco.

They act like Gaga had no hand in the process it’s funny. Meanwhile this the same tactic she used when producing the The Fame. Just look at the unused RedOne versions of songs. She still can write and come up with melodies, but just cause she’s not credited as co producer doesn’t mean anything tbh. Especially since we know Boys Noize was involved in getting songs to where they are and he wasn’t credited on a lot of songs. I think they just kept album credits tighter for some reason this time around.

Bloodpop will not hear the end of it if the HLs Babylon and to a lesser extent the Sophie track isn’t released.  He promised the former and said “TBC” about the latter shortly before the album was released.  In his words “calm the **** down, it will come out”

Idg the hate for Stupid Love. The production is on point, Gaga's vocals are marvelous and it has better lyrics than Sour Candy (a song that clearly doesn't fit within the Chromatica concept)

IDk.. It’s a good song but it doesn’t fit the album.. IMO SC fits 10 times better
