have you read the article?

you guys have worms for brains sometimes

BloodPop: Almost all of the songs were started with Gaga or Gaga and I on a piano or a very basic track

Yeah but i feel like she went with Bloodpop's ideas in the end.

We’re joking about ARTPOP Act II but Bloodpop’s comments about more music are triggering the more recent violence of Mark Ronson teasing a pop version of Shallow (and wasn’t there purportedly an ARUTW pop version too??). Regardless, I love this article for taking us behind the scenes and I hope we get more Chromatica tracks in the future

mark didn't say they were gonna release the pop version of Shallow, where as Bloodpop is saying they plan to finish the songs that didn't make the cut and release the other versions. Chromatica is a whole world-like experience, so in my mind, I don't think he'd lie or give false hopes since he has said multiple times that they are gonna release more versions "within the Chromatica universe"

I like that gaga now is trusting people more with her work

It has its upsides and downsides.

I’m sure it was very fun to work in the album and it does feel like a communal project.

i agree to an extent, esp with the songwriter of sour candy not even meeting her until the song was done.

but....ARTPOP.

ARTPOP only has two recycled beats (MJH and Donatella) and another one that was started without her but was reworked when she came along (Aura).

Chromatica has Sine From Above, Sour Candy, and Replay (the instrumental) which were started without her.

She has a production credit on every track on ARTPOP while on Chromatica she has none.

ARTPOP was the album where she allegedly had the least involvement and used mostly recycled beats, but Chromatica is “worse” in that regard.

That’s why I hope this shuts up all the people that repeat that tired drag ad nauseam.

loved the interview and loved the process it was really like a puzzle and it‘s amazing how this puzzle turned out into a whole new planet, It would have had one of the best Gaga album-rollouts ever if it wasn’t for this ****ing cursed year... but i‘m so excited for whats to come either way!!

At this point we have to thank the amazing and passionate Bloodpop cause without him we maybe could have got Joanne II :selena:

I'm getting war flashbacks of the ARTPOP Act II promises with this thread

I wouldn't get your hopes up for a re release  Nowhere does the article imply that

Well its wrong :billie:  the article literally states that most  if not all the songs started out as piano demos from Gaga. She wrote and came up with the songs. It wasn't more Bloodpop at all.

Gaga aided with production, but it was upto Bloodpop and the team to shape up the production to match what Gaga wanted.

Bloodpop insists that the haus labs version of Babylon will be released

We set up six microphones and recorded [Gaga's] Lamborghini exhaust, and SOPHIE cut it up into samples. [Though they didn't make the album], we still plan to finish those songs and present something special within the Chromatica universe

SOMETHING more than what we have is coming

If you look at Gaga’s first album, it has those elements already, but now it’s a bit more developed and scaled toward the club. Gaga has this special nerve that comes through when you put authentic dance underneath.

The undeniable impact of The Fame. She has set the bar so high, even she thinks twice to compete with her own self. 💅

Can't wait for the SOPHIE haters to come running with their "pots and pans" comments when it's actually Gaga's lamborghini exhaust :ladyhaha:

The problem is that 98% of your opinions are very negative. You always search something to complain about the album.
