DC 25,164 Posted June 12, 2020 Share Posted June 12, 2020 Happy 2 Week Anniversary Chromatica!!! Now let’s go into a more in-depth analysis with my experience on the songs of Chromatica 1. Chromatica 1 - Probably my least favorite out of all the interludes, it’s too long 2. Alice - I actually REALLY liked this one a LOT more than I usually do this time, it’s a perfect opening song 3. Stupid Love - MA GURL!!! YES! Those melodies are ON POINT! The sound is so nostalgic and the production is just SO fantastic! And the way she screams “I WANT YOUR STUPID LOVE!” In almost like a painful way just gets to my heart each time, she’s literally SCREAMING for love! Love the video too, the whole concept around it, one of my favorites from her 4. Rain On Me - It’s not a bad song, I loved it for a little while 5. Free Woman - Usually this is one of my go-to songs but now I feel like I heard it too much or something, it didn’t hit as hard as it usually does on it’s own, maybe I’m just not in the mood for it. 6. Fun Tonight - I liked it! Better than I usually do, it was nice hearing this song again, I noticed some high strings during he prechorus that I didn’t before so that was nice 7. Chromatica 2 - Probably my most favorite out of all the interludes, short, listenable, and snappy! 8. 911 - Omg one of my FAVORITES! It reminds me so much of Venus or Paparazzi, it sounds so sad and very depressing, the way she sings, like I can feel all of her emotions on this one through her voice, it’s really such an amazing and beautiful song! 9. Plastic Doll - It’s cool 10. Sour Candy - This song GREW ON ME! Like I didn’t like it at all at first, but now I think it might be one of my faves 11. Enigma - What can I say? Also I noticed a VERY audible transition from Enigma to Replay at the very end, I never noticed it before but it’s there! 12. Replay - One of my used to be “favorites,” I don’t know how I feel about it now, I still love it but like I just didn’t feel anything from it this time, you know what I mean? 13. Anyway, Chromatica 3 - It’s ok, I still prefer it more than 1. 14. Sine From Above - Omg that prechorus sounds SO SAD! I can tell this uses one of the Cm or D# scales, it sounds so sad to me, the whole song, except for the “I. Heard. One. Sine. From. A. Bauv.” 15. 1000 Doves - I actually noticed a lot of strings and vocals on the last chorus that I didn’t hear before! I actually REALLY like this song and when I first heard it I knew people on here were gonna really hate it, but I don’t care, I like it! 16. Babylon - Maybe I wasn’t in the mood for it but I didn’t really feel anything for this one. It’s a GREAT album closer! But it just didn’t do anything for me this time Anyway! Now here’s my list of favorites to least favorites according to this experience! Enjoy 1. Stupid Love 2. 911 3. Sine From Above 4. Enigma 5. Sour Candy 6. Alice 7. Free Woman 8. 1000 Doves 9. EDIT - Upon further inspection: Chromatica II over ROM and Plastic Doll? Replay, Babylon, 1000 Doves, and Fun Tonight being near the bottom? Enigma and Sour Candy being near the top? (I love both of those songs btw, but they wouldn't be that high up there for me) Also...you've only listened to Chromatica twice?
